Coming from the same school as one-time Penn State commit Shyquawn Pullium (whom Damion says is doing well at Blinn College in Texas), Erie Cathedral Prep quarterback Damion Terry is just getting started with his recruitment, and is hearing from some great schools.
"I'm mainly hearing from Florida, Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, Penn State and a lot of other schools."
While he doesn't have his first Division 1 offer as of yet, the dual-threat quarterback has been in touch with Penn State, and plans to come to State College for the February 18 Junior Day.
"I'm hoping to come to Penn State for Junior Day. I'm [also] going to West Virginia, Ohio State, and Michigan State."

Terry is a 6-4, 215-pound dual-threat quarterback, but has played some pro-set offense before. More comfortable with the ability to run, Terry said his last 40-yard dash time was clocked at 4.6. As Michigan fans will tell you, a quarterback with a good arm and the ability to beat you with his legs is a valuable asset for any football team.
Erie Cathedral Prep lost in the first round of the PIAA AAA tournament in 2011, so Terry is looking for a strong offseason before his senior year at Prep.
"I'm going to attend a lot of camps, and I play on a 7-on-7 team."
That exposure should lead to more offers for Terry. Once they start coming in Terry is still unsure as to when he'll make his decision.
"It all depends how my recruiting is going. I was thinking earlier today if I would want to wait or make my choice right away, actually. I'm up in the air about it. I will have a more clear answer when my offers start coming in."

Will be at this weekend's Junior Day.
Along with Christian Hackenberg and a guy that you’ll meet soon, Boeing Brown, who was one of the more eloquent 17-year olds I’ve spoken with so far. Hackenberg is the better of the two, but Brown told me he’s “been compared to Tom Brady, but a little bit more mobile.”

I'm like Tom Brady, but a little less lucky with sports and women.
Chris Grovich - February 14, 2012
I'm like Joe Namath, and I can give an inebriated TV interview to prove it.
CvilleLion - February 14, 2012
I'm like Ron Jeremy, but with a smaller penis...

You sad, sad man.

Seconded on Boeing
If I had half that kid’s maturity as a 17-year-old I would be flying my jetpack to my own private island. He’s probably not as skilled as Hackenberg, but I think he will make up for it with intangibles he will bring to the table. I can see him as one of those players that elevates the performance of everyone else in the huddle.

So he has
dare I say it…
MOXIEEEEE!?
jman07 - February 14, 2012
sounds more like ...
…poise to me. I wonder if there is any historical referendum on poise vs. moxie.

Boeing Brown...
Welcome to the “All Name Team” boy…
Boeing bombs Hawkeyes
Boeing’s Targets Badgers
Is it too soon to hope?

As we've seen these past two years...
Ability doesn’t mean much of anything unless you have a good attitude and a willingness to learn. My vote goes for Brown.

I say we just take them all

and the Rational Lion comes closer to fruition...

Brown has an extremely good head on his shoulders.
But don’t count out Hackenberg, Ryan Burns, Kevin Olsen, or even Terry. There is a strong group of QB recruits this year.
Jeff Junstrom - February 14, 2012
And one (two?) of them are going to walk into an extremely friendly depth chart with NFL coaching to support him/them.
Hopefully sooner than later.
Chris Grovich - February 14, 2012
So you're saying Rick Neuheisel landed a job?
WorldBFat - February 14, 2012
Danny O'Brien
Anyone here want anything to do with him? Could be a nice stop gap between now and when Bench or one of the ‘13 recruits is ready. Plus, Wisconsin is apparently interested. I’m of the belief that the Badgers have an even worse QB situation on their hands than we do. So it’d be a bummer if they were able to pick up another QB through free agency that would put them in place to win the division again.
NittanyBlueHen - February 14, 2012
I was thinking the same thing the other day
When he officially was released. Would be a bold move on our part to pick him up for 2 years.
Was joking with my brother that Wisconsin will try and pick him up. They must really be desperate for a QB if they do.
AriesGD - February 14, 2012
I don't think this is a joke.
There are rumors flying around Rivals’ free board about this last night.
NuclearLion - February 14, 2012
Doesn't mean it WILL happen of course
But there is smoke anyway.
NuclearLion - February 14, 2012
Wouldn't surprise me if Bielema
Does pick this kid up, instead of you know coaching a young QB up to play.
AriesGD - February 14, 2012
Wisconsin is interested but
There is a difference. Please understand that Danny O’brien does NOT equal Russel Wilson. In addition, he would not have a 1st or 2nd round draft pick in Nick Toon to gun the ball to every with a defender basically hanging off him. Finally, he would be losing half his defense, most of the coaching staff, and 2 or 3/5 offense linemen. Thats not a recipe to win the Big Ten
ReddWhitenBlue - February 14, 2012
every down*
ReddWhitenBlue - February 14, 2012
Wilson > O'Brien > McGloin?
Obviously Wisconsin will have trouble being as good offensively as they were last year as Wilson is much better than O’Brien. Also, if they are pursuing O’Brien, it is clear that the coaches have no faith in Budmayr and Phillips.
My real interest is whether BOB should make a run, and I’m having trouble deciding whether it would be worth it.
NittanyBlueHen - February 14, 2012
It may be
O’brien is better than McGloin and as long as Wisconsin has better QB’s I do not care how good our defense is they will just run it down.
ReddWhitenBlue - February 14, 2012
I wish this young man
and all other HS recruits well when the sign to play for THE Ohio State University.
/all recruits belong to Urbz
